India is all set to launch the new currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000. In order to fight against the biggest problem of India i.e. black money, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has abolished the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 from midnight of 8th November 2016. RBI will be issuing the new currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000, 10th November 2016 onwards. There are certain fascinating features of new currency notes.

Following are the features of new currency notes that are soon going to be issued by the RBI!

Features of new Rs. 500 Currency Note

1. The note will have the signature of Governor Dr. Urjit R Patel and will bear the year of printing ‘2016’ which is one of the common features of new currency notes.

2. Swachh Bharat Logo printed on the reverse of the banknote.

3. The new size of the note is 66 mm x 150 mm and the new color of the note is stone gray.

4. On the back side of the note, an image of the Red Fort with Indian flag has been placed. It seems as if our Indian Government is charged up to promote Indian culture and heritage by adding such features in the new notes.

5. Identification mark to enable the visually impaired person to identify the denomination.

Features of new Rs. 2000 Currency Note

1. Denominational numeral २००० in Devanagari.

2. Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the center.

3. Micro letters ‘RBI’ and ‘2000’ on the left side of the banknote.

4. Windowed security thread with inscriptions ‘भारत’, RBI and 2000 on bank notes with colour shift. Colour of the thread changes from green to blue when the note is tilted.

5. Swachh Bharat logo with a slogan.

6. The reverse side of Rs. 2000 currency note has an image of Mangalyan, ISRO’s Mars mission, describing the nation’s success in interplanetary space.

7. The size of the note is 66 mm x 166 mm. The color of the note is magenta.

While addressing the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the public to have patience and cooperate, as this action may bring several difficulties in daily work for coming few days. It may adversely affect the stock market for few days. Whole nation is supporting this idea and looking forward to experience it’s positive results.
