Journalism, in fact, is a popular profession that has a number of obstacles. There are some prominent Indian journalists who not only bring up the best content but also influence the entire nation!

1. Arnab Goswami

Every Indian knows the name of Arnab Goswami, one of the most prominent Indian journalists. A self-made Journalist Arnab hails from the state of Assam and is a co-founder of one of the leading news channels ‘Republic TV’. Winner of awards like ‘Ramnath Goenka award for excellence in Journalism’ and ‘Assamese of the year’ Arnab Goswami is one of the leading news anchors and debaters in the country.

2. Rajdeep Sardesai

Author of the book ‘2014: the election that changed India’ Rajdeep Sardesai is one of the most prominent Indian journalists in the Country with 7.7M Twitter Followers. Sardesai is former Editor-in-chief of IBN-18 network and currently a consulting editor at India Today Network. Sardesai also got the Padma Shri award in 2008 by the Government of India for his contribution to the field.

3. Barkha Dutt

Indian Television News anchor and author of the book ‘The Unquiet Land’ Barkha Dutt is a prominent person in the field of Journalism. Barkha Dutt is known for her reporting during the Kargil War and is also a winner of Padma Shri. Being a part of NDTV Barkha has hosted major shows like ‘We the People’ and ‘The Buck stops here’. Currently, Dutt has 6.5 M followers on Twitter.

4. Palagummi Sainath

Well known as P Sainath, he is the Founder-Editor of ‘People’s Archive of Rural India’ [PARI] a project that tries to bring into notice the rural parts of the nation. Sainath is a well-known journalist in India and is famous for his work in the field of Rural, Social and Economic Development of India. 2007 Ramon Magsaysay award winner P.Sainath is also the author of the book ‘Everybody Loves a Good Drought: Stories from India’s Poorest Districts’.

5. Prannoy Roy

Co-founder and Co-chairperson of New Delhi Television [NDTV] Prannoy Roy is a well known Media personality and journalist. In his early career, Roy, one of the prominent Indian journalists, worked with Doordarshan and hosted some primetime shows for them. Later he founded his own channel which is currently one of the best News Channels in the country.

6. Vikram Chandra

Winner of many National and International awards, Vikram Chandra is the former CEO of NDTV. He is one of the leading and prominent Indian journalists. Currently, the host of ‘Gadget Guru’ Vikram is famous for news anchoring. He has a twitter following of 2.8M.

7. Sagarika Ghose

A renowned News Anchor and Author, Sagarika Ghose has worked for many well-known organizations. Few of them are ‘The Times of India’, ‘The Indian Express’ and ‘Outlook’.
