The last speakers Isidro Velazquez(72) and Manuel Segovia(78), stopped having a conversation after a disagreement.

A language which is centuries old has been saved. After realizing the danger of disappearance of the language. The last speakers decided to end the quarrel that has lasted for decades. The two opened a school to help keep the language alive.

A programme developed by Vodafone looks set to save Ayapaneco for future generations. People across the world can ‘adopt’ an Ayapaneco word, the two speakers give tutorials and upload videos on a mobile site which Vodafone has built.

It is Mandarin, which is a language within the Chinese language group. Though it is difficult, Mandarin is the most spoken language around the world.  For every sound, there are four distinct pronunciations Mandarin’s phonetic. One of the most interesting language and linguistic facts is that Mandarin is said to be the world’s most difficult language for someone to learn. The Chinese language takes many forms that are not mutually intelligible. Mandarin is the actually fifth most spoken language in the total world.

People in the mountainous regions of Spain and France speak Basque. It is a really special language because of the fact that Basque has remained isolated from the world. The languages belong to the Oto-Manguean language family. They are recognized as “national languages” under the General Law of Linguistic Rights of the Indigenous People.
