Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has bought Washington DC’s biggest house which actually has two large mansions spreading in an area of about 27,000 square foot. This building was previously used to house the city’s textile Museum for 90 years. For buying this huge house he has to pay $23 million which is equal to Rs. 156 Crores approx.
He has purchased this property in the month of October last year and according to reports he is planning to convert the two mansions into a single family home. His family will use this house occasionally when they’re visiting D.C. In this new house, Bezos family’s neighbors will be Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and the former American president Obama.
This 1914-built building has ten bedrooms and 14 baths and 11 fireplaces. A limestone-faced bridge connects the two buildings. This 53-year-old CEO has stated in past that he has no intentions of shifting his house. Now he is planning to renovate this building. Renovations could include changes to the exterior as well as the interior of the property. The roofs and driveways will be given new designs. Many new changes include an extension of roofs and some new room according to reports.
