Upcoming Shah Rukh Khan’s film Raees is the latest gossip these days. People are eagerly waiting for its release. The trailer of the same is out today and its big! We have got some of the important details of the movie Raees!
1. Raees is based on gangster Abdul Latif’s life story
Born in Gujarat, as a teenager, Abdul Latif started serving alcohol in a bar. Over the years, he gained monopoly over the illegal liquor business. He was guilty for over 40 murder cases and for almost same number of kidnappings. However, Abdul Latif was arrested in 1995 and killed in an encounter by police in 1997. Raees Alam is a fictional name in the film.
2. Producer of the film is Farhan Akhtar
Rahul Dholakia’s upcoming film Raees has some amazing bunch of producers: Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan. Additionally, Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Shivraj Alam, Raees’s brother.
3. Sunny Leone has a cameo role
Yes, you heard that right! Sunny Leone has a small role in the film. Moreover, she will be seen in an item song in the film.
4. Delays in the release of the film
One of the most important Raees movie details include delays in the release of the film. Initially, Raees was about to release on July 6th, 2016 on the occasion of Eid. Later, there were controversies due to involvement of Pakistani actors in the film. However, the cast of the film approached CM of Maharashtra for the same. Luckily, CM provided a clean chit to the film. Yet the release of the film was delayed again due to Shah Rukh’s knee surgery. Now, the film is finally releasing on 26th January, 2017. While Rakesh Roshan’s film Kabil is releasing on 25th January, 2017.
5. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan plays Raees’s lady love
Going into the details of the movie Raees, Pakistan’s heartthrob Mahira Khan is playing the role of Mohsina. Earlier, actress Ankita Shorey was playing the role. But, a Pakistani look was suiting the plot of the film.
